This page is dedicated to the stories related to our lights!
young man and his son, which looked to be about 4 or 5 years old, was parked across the
street of our house every night for about two weeks straight, always right around 8:00 PM. One night I was outside clearing the driveway of
snow and the man and his son pulled up and parked across the street where they always
parked. I walked up to the mans truck
and asked if his son liked the lights. The
young man went on to tell me that every night, his son will not go to sleep until he gets
to see our lights. So it has become a routine
every night at 7:45 PM to bundle his son up, hop in the truck and come park in front of
our house and watch the lights until he falls asleep.
He asked if I could keep the lights up all year because he didnt know
what would happen when his son couldnt watch the lights anymore.
night while outside fixing some lights, a woman in a car asked me if I was Mr. Weber.
I walked up to the car and introduced myself to her and her male friend that was in
the driver's seat of the car. The male friend kept thanking me for making his female
friend smile and happy again. I asked what he meant by "again", I thought
he was talking about them coming back every night and watching the show, but that wasn't
what he was referring to. The man went on to tell a sad story of his female friend
recently loosing her husband of many years. He said that for the past 6 months she
wouldn't smile for anything and showed no emotions, she was always sad. He said he
took her for a drive through the local neighborhoods to look at everyone's decorations and
came upon my house lighting up the entire street. He said our lights made her smile
and she smiles every time she watches them, so he brings her by almost every night, just
to get her to smile. I looked at her after he told me this story and she was
shaking her heard yes at me and smiling....
was on the roof one evening fixing lights on the backside of the garage where you would
have to really look hard to see me, when I heard a male voice singing out loud. I
moved to the front side of the garage and looked towards the street where there was a van
parked with all its windows open and the dad singing along to the songs, as loud as could
be. He was really off key and his two daughters kept yelling at him to stop singing.
After a few moments and the dad not stopping, the mother and the two daughters
joined in and were singing along with the songs, loud enough that I could have heard them
down the street. It was neat to see a family together, singing together and enjoying
- I came home the other night and there were six cars parked in front of the house and
about 15 people in the street. A few cars had their windows open and the music
blasting. Six young adults were dancing around in the streets together and everyone
else was standing outside their cars drinking coffee and hot cocoa (could have had alcohol
in them, don't know). Everyone was enjoying the show and cheered after every song
- A family from Indiana said they make a special trip to my neighborhood every year to
watch the lights. The father said they learned of our lightshow through someone that
he met at work that lives in our neighborhood. He said coming to see our lights has
become a family tradition now.
parent thanked us because his son was driving him crazy until they got in front of the
house to watch the lights. The father said
they had been there for about 15 minutes and his son hadnt said a word or blinked an
eye the whole time. He said he was going to
bring his son by every time he starts acting up and the display needs to stay up year
round, we thought that was kind of funny.
